Destined to go down in Quiet Storm history as nothing short of deliciously divine promise fulfilled, this overdue debut by the session singer who has supported everyone from Stevie Wonder to Phil Collins is a richly inspired wonder.

The 9-song project (recorded for her own boldly named label MidLife Records) is filler-free and overflowing with creamy songs of love and humanity that will kiss your blues away. The poetess sings and writes of love with a mother’s insight and a lover’s passion on jazz-tinged soul songs such as “Cupid,” “Never Really” and “U R Loved” in a voice that soothes, penetrates and caresses like aural ointment. And here’s the miracle: the prescription never runs out…you just hit repeat to start the massage all over again. -A. Scott Galloway - "Startime" - Urban Network

What a stellar CD! I've seen the name Lynne Fiddmont on liner notes for years as a background singer for artists from Stevie Wonder to Norman Brown, but I had no idea how spectacular she would be as the star of her own show!

FLOW is a deliciously mellow urban/jazz release that should put Ms. Fiddmont right out front where she belongs. She's treated us to eight outstanding originals and one jazz classic (the swinging "No Regrets"). Nothing but the good stuff here, from the festive Latin-flavored opener "Holiday" to the sensually tasty "Cupid" to the ambrosial ballad "U R Loved," just to mention a few. FLOW is more than just an album and song title. As Lynne puts it, "Flow is the developing philosophy of my life right now. As things occur, you can either fight them or go with them, figuring out solutions and making the best of a challenging situation." Judging from this most excellent solo debut, she has more than overcome whatever challenges stood between her and this outstanding collection of tunes, and must be incredibly proud of the results.

Her voice is unique, but if I were to suggest comparisons, names that come to mind are Deneice Williams, Minnie Riperton, and Corinne Bailey Rae. I'm picky when it comes to vocals for the Smooth Jazz format, so trust me when I tell you that Lynne Fiddmont is a perfect fit. Expect big things from her in the future and get into the FLOW now! -
